SUICIDE AWARENESS: Some of us might have seen LOGIC perform at the VMA’s last year and that number he had on stage is the actual Suicide Prevention Lifeline! 1-800-273-TALK or 8255 … But did you know there is also crisis lines that are specifically for transgender and LGBTQ community like the TREVOR PROJECT.ORG … and don’t forget the Crisis text line, text the word “HOME” that’s H-O-M-E to 741741. You’re not alone. Stop by the office to pick up a resource card for more information. If you would like to be involved in this campaign and other Friday Night Live activities come to our meeting TODAY at LUNCH in ROOM 1 (Lando’s room).


COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: Volunteers needed Friday, September 21st at 9pm to help clean up after dinner and art auction at Karmere Winery in Shenandoah Valley. If you would like to volunteer see Kim in the office.

PICTURES:  If Lifetouch took your picture on August 14th and you ordered a package, please come to the front office to pick them up from Wendy.

TESTING: PSAT Signups are now available in the counseling office.  The cost is $20 and is open to all 9th, 10th and 11th graders.  Space is limited, so hurry in.

STUDENT HELPER: Triglia is in need of a student helper once or twice a month for organizational purposes. Any student who is interested in Early Child Development could learn a lot of information. This would be during school hours. If interested come see your counselor in the counseling office.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT: Monday, September 24th at 6pm in the MPR – open to ALL students and their parent/guardian.  A representative from the California Student Aid Commission will be presenting invaluable information pertaining to students interested in pursuing higher education after high school and the financial aid opportunities.  All Seniors should be looking at this

SENIORS: if you missed you senior portraits (you know the fancy ones with the tux and drape) Lifetouch will be on campus Monday, September 17th for you to get your photo done.  Stop by Tallia’s room or see Wendy for your scheduled time.  On the 17th there will be passes delivered to your class to get you out for your photo.  Thanks and happy picture taking.

SENIORS:  Senior payment plan form is now available in the office and ON THIS WEBSITE under FAMILIES. Senior Shirt and Sweatshirt order forms are due by October 1st- late order forms will not be accepted and there will be NO second order.  Return completed form(s) and money to Kim.

ATTENDANCE: September is Attendance Awareness Month – Amador County School District Board values and recognizes positive school attendance as a critical element for student success. As part of our “Courage to Compete” program, students are rewarded with 25 points for 97%+ attendance for each quarter. For the month of September students can earn an extra 10 points for perfect attendance!!

SPORTS: Any girls interested in playing soccer this year sign up in Mr. Hunkins room #4.

VOLUNTEER HOURS:  The Amador Autism Group is holding the 2nd Annual Spaghetti Spooktacular on October 6th at the Amador Senior Center. At least 6 volunteers are needed to help serve dinner from 5:00PM – 8PM. All interested students looking for volunteer hours, please call (209)256-7892 or ask Ms Gaddoni or Ms Putnam.
