SUICIDE PREVENTION: According to the CDC and SAMHSA, for every person who dies by suicide each year, another 280 people think seriously about suicide, but do not do it. This is important to know because that means if you or someone you know has thought about it, you are not alone. It’s okay to talk about it and get help. Stop by the office to pick up a resource card for more information. If you would like to be involved in this campaign and other Friday Night Live activities come to our meetings Thursdays at lunch in Room 1 (Lando’s room).

CLUBS: Hispanic Club meeting TODAY in Mrs. Floyd’s room (room 14).

CLUBS: FFA meeting TODAY! Lots of important topics to talk about. Hope to see you there!

PICTURES: If Lifetouch took your picture on August 14th and you ordered a package, please come to the front office to pick them up from Wendy.

PSAT: Signups are now available in the counseling office.  The cost is $20 and is open to all 9th, 10th and 11th graders.  Space is limited, so hurry in.

FINANCIAL AID NIGHT will be held on Monday, September 24th at 6pm in the MPR and is open to ALL students and their parent/guardian!  A representative from the California Student Aid Commission will be presenting invaluable information pertaining to students interested in pursuing higher education after high school and the financial aid opportunities.  

SENIORS:  if you missed your senior portrait (fancy ones with the tux and drape) Lifetouch will be on campus Monday, September 17th for you to get your photo done.  Stop by Tallia’s room or see Wendy for your scheduled time.  On 9/17th there will be passes delivered to your class to get you out for your photo.  

SENIORS: Senior payment plan form is now available in the office. Senior Shirt and Sweatshirt order forms are due by October 1st- late order forms will not be accepted and there will be NO second order.  Return completed form(s) and money to Kim.

ATTENDANCE: September is Attendance Awareness Month – Amador County School District Board values and recognizes positive school attendance as a critical element for student success. As part of our “Courage to Compete” program, students are rewarded with 25 points for 97%+ attendance for each quarter. For the month of September students can earn an extra 10 points for perfect attendance!!

HOMECOMING: The first round of Homecoming King & Queen Voting will be TODAY in your first period class.

SPORTS: Any Boys & Girls interested in playing Soccer this winter, please sign up in Mr. Hunkins Room (#4). Off-Season Conditioning has Started.  

CLUBS: Are you interested in food, fashion, or child care? Do you want to go on fun field trips across California to learn more about the inner workings of industries? Are you interested in competing to earn money toward college? If yes, there’s an FCCLA Meeting Wednesday, September 12th in the culinary room, room 20. Be there, we will have sweets.

VOLUNTEER HOURS:  The Amador Autism Group is holding the 2nd Annual Spaghetti Spooktacular on October 6th at the Amador Senior Center. At least 6 volunteers are needed to help serve dinner from 5:00PM – 8PM. All interested students looking for volunteer hours, please call (209)256-7892 or ask Ms Gaddoni or Ms Putnam.

CSF: Gough is now accepting CSF applications for the Spring 2018 semester. Bring your completed applications and $5 dues to Gough by Friday, 9/14.
