Argonaut High School is a California Distinguished and Gold Ribbon Award-winning school with the California Department of Education. We are proudly part of the Amador County Public Schools within the Amador County Unified School District.

Situated in rural Northern California, approximately one hour east of Sacramento, Argonaut High is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in Jackson, the county seat of Amador. We have 530 students within grades 9-12.

Argonaut High School is home of the Mustangs –  well known for their exceptional football program under Head Coach Rick Davis. 

Our offerings are well rounded with many advanced  AP courses, sports programs, clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
