Argonaut Drama presents 11th Annual Christmas Carol to Benefit Homeless Shelter in Amador County
On Friday, December 16, the Drama Department of Argonaut High School will be joining forces with Hometown Radio to create a fabulous evening of holiday entertainment, including a one-hour staged reading of A Christmas Carol, with a specially crafted music score and live sound effects performed by the students.
In keeping with the true spirit of the holiday, this year, all funds raised will go to ATCAA, the Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency a local charity whose vision is “for residents to be self‒reliant, healthy, free from economic hardship, feeling sustained by the support of community and family, and able to achieve their maximum potential as engaged citizens.” Specifically, Argonaut Drama wishes to use their performance to assist with ATCAA’s homeless shelter in Jackson.
The performance will be recorded live on KVGC 96.5 FM / 1340 AM, and broadcast during the holiday season.
The performance of A Christmas Carol is only one part of the evening’s family-friendly festivities, guaranteed to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Doors open at 5:15pm for hot cocoa, treats, a dessert auction, live music, and special holiday surprises including an appearance by Santa and a real life “Elf on the Shelf.” A Christmas Carol will begin at 6pm.
Ticket prices are only $10 when purchased in advance, $15 at the door. Children aged 4-10 are $5 ($10 at the door). Because of the nature of the performance, a recorded-live broadcast, children younger than 4 are not recommended.
To purchase tickets, see any Drama student, or print out the Ticket Order Form (found on www.ArgonautDrama.com), which may be dropped off at the school. For more information, contact Mrs. Flint at email@example.com.
Please make all checks out to “ATCAA,” and write “Jackson Homeless Shelter” in the memo line.
