Thursday, October 2 (A Day)
- There will be a junior class meeting on Thursday in Gough’s room at lunch.
- For all students in 9th through 12th grades who are interested in becoming an officer in the Military by attending a Military academy, a rep from our congressperson's office will be here tonight in the MPR from 5-6:30 PM. Congressman McClintock would like every interested student to consider seeking a congressional nomination. Nominations are competitive. Students must fill out and return the “Class of 2026 Service Academy Nomination Application” to the Congressman’s District Office. Please attend this meeting if you are at all interested. See Ms. Putnam if you have any questions.
- If you are interested in Dual Enrollment through Amador College Connect, the registration period is now open. Late start Fall classes begin on 10-10-25. If you are interested in Fall elective courses, schedule an appointment with your counselor ASAP. Registration for Spring classes opens in November. New students should schedule an intake meeting by November 1st.
- AVID students are fundraising for their overnight college field trip and Grad Night Trip. Please come out and support them while enjoying a yummy Chipotle meal. Please show a picture of the flyer (available for pickup from the office counter) on your phone when ordering. The Fundraiser is on Saturday, Oct 4th, from 4-8 pm.
- Attention Juniors: The PSAT will be held at Argonaut High School on Thursday, October 23rd, at 8 AM in the Library. If you are interested in taking the digital Preliminary SAT test, please sign up with Laura in the Counseling Department by Monday, October 20th. The test fee is $25, and space is limited, so register ASAP!
- Are you interested in earning community service hours toward graduation while ALSO making Amador County safer and more beautiful? Come join other volunteers for an Amador County Community Action Day at Pioneer Park on Saturday, October 18th, from 8:30-12:00. We will plant native plants and seedlings at the Pioneer Veterans Hall and learn about the importance of creating a Firewise Landscape at your own home. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a service project that helps reduce wildfire risk. Come play in the dirt with us and earn a certificate toward community service hours!! Register with the link above. Look for flyers around campus or see Ms. Jeffries for more information. Hope to see you there!
