Welcome back to Argonaut High School, Mustangs! Entering my second year as your principal, I’m thrilled to honor 50 years of tradition on this campus and show off our incredible new gym floor. Let’s make 2026 an unforgettable year!

• Attention all runners and wannabe runners! Join Argonaut Cross Country! Attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 18th, at lunch in Coach Duggan's room #8 at lunch. Coach Putnam will bring treats! Open practices begin this Thursday after school. Bring running shoes, water, and a friend! • Juniors and Seniors: If you would like to take the SATs during the school day on October 8th at 8:30 am at the District Office, please sign up with Laura in the office by September 11th. The cost is $60.
• Are you interested in playing water polo? Argonaut is hoping to start a boys and girls team this fall. If you are interested, please e-mail the Athletic Director @ jgilliam@acusd.org.  
• Ms. Putnam’s career center has been moved to the library. 
• There will also be a College and Career Fair on September 24th. If you want to help with this fair and earn community service hours, see Ms. Putnam in the library.
• Counselors will make schedule changes during the first week of school only if a student is missing a class, has an incomplete schedule/duplicate classes, or has completed a dual-enrollment class over the summer. 
  All other schedule change requests will be considered in the second week of school. Students can complete a form with Laura in the front office starting Monday, August 17th, only for the following reasons: 
  • Duplicate classes, incomplete schedule, or class already completed, dual enrollment course completion. 
  • Inappropriately placed in a core class, non-elective course.
  • Medical condition documented by a physician or IEP team decision. 
  • If you are enrolled in an AP/Honors course, you have until 1st quarter to request a schedule change into a CP course pending availability/approval. 
• If you have ever received a locker and do NOT use it anymore, please let Danielle in the office know asap.
• Seniors: Senior parking spot applications are still being accepted until August 28th. You can pick one up from Danielle in the office.
