- Did you know that when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and brought the U.S. into World War II., more than 500,000 Mexican Americans served in the American military during the conflict, with 13 Medals of Honor awarded to Latinos. Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15 and runs through October 15. For more information, be sure to attend a Latinx Club meeting. The next meeting is Wednesday, September 25 in room 14 at lunch.
- The 1st quarter Spikeball tourney is moving right along. The homecoming king and queen have spiked their way into the quarterfinals vs. Londyn and Grady. In the other quarter final Patrick and Shane defeated Mario and Zach to advance to the Semifinal. This is a 17 team double elimination tournament so there are some teams to keep an eye on out of the losers and consolation brackets like Rooney and Will who barely lost the king and queen and Josie & Kailey who narrowly fell to Patrick and Shane. Next Friday ASB will hold a draw party which is a random draw Spikeball tourney so if you missed this one sign up with Mr. Gilliam by Thursday for the next one.
