- Gough is now accepting CSF applications for the Fall semester. Please bring your completed applications and $5 dues to Gough's room to sign up.
- Seniors - if you are applying to local scholarships, Mr. Gough will be hosting a Personal Essay Writing Workshop in Room 7 at lunch on Tuesday, January 14. Come to learn best practices for writing your personal essay for your scholarship application.
- Argonaut FFA is proud to celebrate the new year by hosting a Chapter Meeting in the gym on Tuesday, January 14th. We can't wait to see you there.
- Swim Meeting Tuesday, January 14th, at lunch in Room 5 (Mr. Steven's Room) with Coach Samantha Churcher.
- Who would like to make Argonaut history? Coach Bartlett is looking for athletes to start Argonaut’s first-ever boys’ volleyball team. He will be holding a volleyball meeting this Wednesday, January 15th, at lunch in the Gym. If you are interested in this spring sport, go meet and talk to Coach Bartlett about this new and exciting opportunity.
- Esports Meeting Wednesday, January 15th, at Lunch in Mr. King's classroom. Anyone interested in Joining for Spring Competitions, please attend!
- There will be a Latinx Club meeting during lunch on Wednesday, January 15th. We will be discussing cemetery clean-up and other upcoming events. If you still need community service hours, the next cemetery clean-up will take place on Saturday, January 18th, from 10-1 at the Historic Jackson Cemetery. See Mrs. Floyd to sign up.
- Do you want to get in shape? Work on your tan before summer? Make new friends? Try new and exciting things. If so, we have something for you: Argonaut High School Track & Field! Come to our first meeting on Thursday, January 16th, during lunch in Mr. King’s room to find out what it is all about. See You There!
- Wellness Center Activity: On Friday, January 17th, the Wellness Center will be hosting DIY Bath Bomb making in the quad during lunch. All students are welcome to join us.
- If you still need community service hours, the next cemetery clean-up will take place on Saturday, January 18th, from 10-1 at the Historic Jackson Cemetery. See Mrs. Floyd to sign up.
- It’s time for the Jackson Lions Club Speech contest for Argonaut students! It will be held on February 6th at 6:30 PM in Mel’s banquet room. This will be a small get-together where you can use your notes to put together a 5-10 minute speech. The TOPIC is Artificial Intelligence (AI): Friend or Foe? The winner receives $100, and other speakers receive $25 each. The winner can compete further and are able to win up to $20,000 in Scholarship money in later rounds. See Ms. Putnam in the Career Center with any questions.
