- Guest dance forms are due today. The first round of prom voting is now open. Check your Google Classroom asap. Voting ends next Tuesday. Promposal Competition has begun! Whoever has the best promposal will receive 2 free prom tickets. Make a video and tag Argonaut ASB on Instagram for judging.
- The Jackson Pool is offering Lifeguard Certification courses for students interested in working as a lifeguard this summer! Whether students are interested in applying to work at the Jackson Pool or any other pool this summer, please sign up ASAP!! There are two sessions available, along with one recertification for returning guards with expiring or expired certs. The Jackson Pool is also accepting applications to work at the pool this summer, and applications are available on the Jackson website or at City Hall. Once registered for the course, or if already certified, you may submit an application.
- Sessions: May 7th, 4-8 PM, May 10-11th, 9 AM-6 PM, May 21st, 4-8 PM & May 24-25th, 9 AM-6 PM
- Recertification: (Sign up by TODAY, 3/26): April 5th & 6th, 9 AM-4 PM
- Argonaut/Amador Drama presents Sherwood Adventures of Robin Hood, starting this Thursday at 6 pm at Amador High School. Come see the show! $10 per person or $20 for a family. Students are $5.
- If you are a part of the Interact Club, come to room 29 just past the Ag buildings Friday at lunch. We will be continuing to work on creating "Sand Potatoes." For details, see the Interact Google Classroom.
- SENIORS: If you might be planning on APPLYING to FOLSOM LAKE COLLEGE, please attend the LIBRARY INFO SESSION today at LUNCH. A Representative from FOLSOM LAKE College will be here to provide information on Admissions, Financial Aid, and Enrolling in Classes there. The SUMMER listing of classes at Folsom Lake is ready for everyone to sign up for, and the FALL 2025 is getting close to being ready, so don't wait to Apply, Sign up, and Enroll! Check with Ms Putnam in the Career Center if you have questions! This is Important! Any student can attend.
- On Thursday, we will be having an extended lunch to celebrate the completion of state testing. Lunch is from 11:45-12:40. We will have music, games, and food trucks (Jamba, Wok & Roll, Shaved Ice, and taco truck). Don’t forget to bring your lunch money.
- The art for the Amador County Arts Association Student Art show is being picked up on Thursday, April 3rd. This is going to give Ms. Davidson a little more time to work on labeling and matting the art. The drop-off has been extended to next Tuesday, April 1. Please bring any art to Ms. Davidson or Mrs Toraya in Room 9 or Room 31 by then so it can be prepared for the show. We want to encourage you to enter the show, even if you are not in an art class. Come see Ms. Davidson or Mrs Toraya if you have any questions. Thank you.
- Amador County Unified School District (ACUSD) has partnered with Amador County Public Health to create a water safety video aimed at educating our local community on the importance of water safety. To make this project as impactful as possible, they are seeking student participation to share their experiences and perspectives. Students who participate will earn volunteer hours and have the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community project. Volunteers must go to the Jackson Junior High Resource Center on April 2nd from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- The ASVAB will be given on FRIDAY, APRIL 11th, 2025, in the ARGONAUT Library for all Juniors and Seniors who are interested in going into the Military after High School. See Ms. Putnam in the Career Center NOW. You may also email Ms Putnam at jputnam@acusd.org.
- Attention Seniors: We need YOUR senior photos! As you know, the Senior Video is showcased during the walkout rally and graduation, and posted on YouTube. We need FOUR photos by Friday, April 11th. IF YOU DO NOT TURN THEM IN BY THE 11TH, YOU WILL NOT BE IN THE VIDEO!
