• There is an art club meeting today at lunch. Come on over to Room 31, the art room in the Triglia building and join the club! We are dedicated to Artify Argonaut and spread lots of color to show off our campus!
• The October Chapter Meeting for Argonaut FFA is today.  Students enrolled in ag classes should attend to get their FFA point and a Halloween treat.
• There is a CSF meeting Wed at lunch in Gough's room.
• The Wellness Center will be hosting 'Rock Painting' on Friday, October 24th, in the quad. All students are welcome to join. Bring a friend and we will see you then!
• For students interested in wrestling, please sign up for the wrestling team in the office.  The sign up form is on the counter. 
• Girls who are interested in Girls Basketball, please sign up in the office. The sign up form is on the counter.
• Esports is in need of players for both Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.  Super Smash Bros Ultimate is in need of one or more players to be able to participate in games, meanwhile Mario Kart needs two players. Come to Mr. King’s room after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3:30 pm and talk to coach Justin for more details.  
• There will be a Latinx Club meeting this Wednesday in room 14 at lunch.  We will be discussing the Monster Dash, Dia de los Muertos activities and the upcoming canned food drive. There will be snacks. 
• Dia de los Muertos is a 2-day celebration where it is believed that the passageway between the real world and the spirit world is open so our deceased loved ones can come back to visit us. Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It is sometimes confused with Halloween because of the symbolic skulls but is not related at all. Family members prepare for several weeks in advance for the tradition by creating altars, decorating burial sites, and cooking specific Day of the Dead food.
  Please join the Argonaut Latinx Club in celebrating our loved ones and bring a photocopied picture of your loved one to be placed on the altar in the office to remember during this special time. Do not bring original photos, as they cannot be returned. The altar will be up until November 3rd. 
• Argonaut FFA is having a pumpkin carving social on Thursday, Oct 23rd in Ms. Woolsey's classroom. The event starts after school and will go until about 5 pm. Bring your own pumpkin to carve, and all those who attend will get an FFA point.
• Community Service Opportunity: On November 21st the Jackson Elks Lodge is in need of volunteers to help at their Thanksgiving dinner starting at 4 pm.  Contact Patti Brown at (209) 304-5309 or their main office at  (209) 223-1905.
• Community Service Opportunity: Jackson Elementary School is looking for volunteers for their Fall Festival on Friday, October 24th from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.  Volunteers will help with games, crafts, and passing out candy.  If you are interested, call or text Camille at (209) 418-5264.
• Plymouth Elementary is looking for Volunteers for our Dia de los Muertos event on Friday, October 24 from 5:30-8 pm. There are multiple shifts for different jobs including set up, clean up and helping run games. If interested, contact Erika Chavira at (209)257-9396 or erika.chavira@acusd.org
