- Soccer, Basketball, and Wrestling tryouts are happening on Monday, November 3rd.
- Girls Soccer Tryouts: 3:45-6:00
- Boys Soccer Tryout: 5:45-8:00
- Boys Basketball Tryouts: 3:45-5:45
- Girls Basketball Tryouts: 5:45-7:45
- Wrestling: 4-6 at AMADOR
- For Students interested in the Military - any Branch, you will be required to have an ASVAB Score, so now is the time to sign up to take the ASVAB on Thursday, NOVEMBER 20th, in the LIBRARY. It will run from 9:00 AM to Noon. You must tell your teachers, and you are responsible for all your homework. You will need to get a ticket from Ms. Putnam in the Triglia Career Center before Tuesday, NOVEMBER 18th. Remember that the Marines and the Coast Guard will be visiting Argonaut next Month.
- Folsom Lake College will be visiting Argonaut on Thursday during lunch in the library. They will answer questions on classes, majors, applications, FAFSA, college costs, and how to succeed in college!
- Please join the Argonaut Latinx Club in celebrating our loved ones and Dia de los Muertos. Bring a photocopied picture of your loved one to be displayed on the office bulletin board to help you remember during this special time. Do not bring original photos, as they cannot be returned. The display will be up until November 3rd.
- Are you looking for a front-row seat and being connected to the action at home basketball games? Argonaut's athletic department is looking for a few dedicated students willing to run the shot clock or maintain the score table data board. Training is provided, and community service hours earned. If you are interested, talk to Mr. Fenton in room #23.
- Community Service Opportunities:
- A local horse ranch is looking for ranch hand help. The ranch is home to a project called The Sorraia Mustang Project, which aims to preserve the Sorraia genes found in wild herds. The Sorraia is from Portugal, and there are only 250-300 present today. If you are interested, contact Diane at (209) 332-0130.
- The Amador County Historical Society is having a dinner event on Sunday, November 9th at Teresa’s Place Restaurant. They are in need of volunteer servers from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Contact Kathy at (209) 332-0082.
- November 21st, the Jackson Elks Lodge is in need of volunteers to help at their Thanksgiving dinner starting at 4 pm. Contact Patti Brown at (209) 304-5309 or their main office at (209) 223-1905.
