The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Triglia Plant Sale 🌱

Our Triglia students are holding a plant sale at the Sutter Creek Duck Race to support the ACOE Special Education Program! Stop by to bring home a new plant and say hello to our friendly students and staff.

News From the Community

Community Dental Health Survey 🦷

Amador Dental Health Partnership would like to better understand your family’s dental health needs. We are inviting parents and caregivers who live in Amador County to complete this survey. We will use the responses to improve local dental programs. The survey closes soon, so submit your responses soon!

Harvest of the Month - Strawberry 🍓

February's harvest of the month is the strawberry! See the attached newsletter, available in English and Spanish, for a delicious recipe and more information about strawberries.

Financial Assistance for Swim Lessons 🏊‍♀️

Amador Splashes Forward is dedicated to ensuring every child in Amador County has the opportunity to learn to swim without financial barriers.
If you would like to apply for financial assistance for swim lessons for your child or obtain more information, please email amadorsplashesforward@gmail.com. The application deadline for Summer 2025 is June 30th.

Kids Community Bulletin

 

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 16, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

JJHS Drama Wins Awards at Festival 🎭

Congratulations to JJHS Drama for winning top festival awards at California Educational Theatre Association's 25th Annual Middle Stage Fest! Nearly 30 JJHS students competed, bringing home 45 medals.

Special kudos to Avery Metz, Gennavieve Mehrer, Isari Valtierra, and Ember Johnson, who took home Silver in Costume Design, Drew Luxemberg, who earned Silver in Solo Acting, and Sunnie Smithwick, who achieved the highest honors of Gold in Solo Acting.
